We believe that God desires intimate, right relationships with humanity. Having been created by God all people are related to Him, but there is a tendency in us that makes us desire to choose our own way and we often end up making a bigger mess of our lives. Fortunately, there is also something in us that longs for a restored relationship with God the Father. In His goodness, God the Father made a way for us to come back to a restored relationship, through His son Jesus.
God has made it clear that if someone admits that Jesus is the Son of God, then the correct response is to ask for God to forgive our disobedience. When Jesus allowed himself to be sacrificed through death, he cancelled our debts so that we can have a restored relationship with God the father. When Jesus rose from the dead, he made it possible for us to live out that right relationship by following Him. Accepting Jesus involves (1) asking forgiveness for our disobedience, (2) trusting that our debt to God the Father is cancelled and (3) striving to live a life that reflects our 'newness' to those around us.
