Current Sermon Series: Acts : Be The Church

Acts is an amazing story of how the first century church came into existence, but there is more to it. It's the beginning of a movement that changed the world forever. Join us for the Acts series as we explore how God wants to use His church, (Crosswinds), and YOU to change the world you live in.

Open Prayer Time:

Every Sunday at 8:30, staff and volunteers gather together to pray for that day’s services. You are invited to come early and join with us. Prayer is the most effective tool in a Christ Follower’s arsenal. Let’s hit our knees for the Kingdom in Leland.

Food Drive:

During the entire month of May, Crosswinds will be collecting food for Manna Ministries, a Leland based Food Bank. Look for the “I LOVE LA” banner in the Café area and place your items in the cart provided. Let's take advantage of this opportunity to bless folks in need right here at home.

Advance:

Saturday, May 12th 9:00 - 1:00. Everyone who volunteers in any way, shape or form at Crosswinds --‐ THIS IS FOR YOU! Join us for an in depth look at the vision of Crosswinds, why we serve in the first place, ministry break-out sessions, training, and fellowship. If you're looking for a place to serve and have no idea where to start, this is for YOU too! A special session to help you determine what your gifts are and where you can best use them is part of this event. We are excited for this opportunity to have the entire team together; to celebrate and grow together as we Advance the Kingdom in Leland.

Threads:

This month’s clothing distribution date is May 15th. Meet at Monkey Junction Storage on Mt. Misery at 9:00 am to help. If you’re available to help with the weekly pick up, contact Pastor Dick.

Support Your Local Worship Band:

On May 19th, your worship team will be leading worship for a monthly youth rally called Sonburst, an event organized by multiple churches in the Shallotte area. As you know, our heart is to be united with the total Church body in our area. This is one way Crosswinds is doing that and it gives us the opportunity to lead area youth into the presence of Christ. Please be in prayer for your worship team on May 19th. If you would like more info, or would like to attend the event, please contact Pastor Scott.

VolunTOUR:

Sunday, May 20th 10:45 am --‐ In 1 Corinthians 12, the Bible talks about the church being a body. Like our physical bodies, the church consists of many members and diverse parts enabling us to function with health and holiness. Like our physical bodies, the church flourishes with health and vitality only to the extent in which we serve His body!
On March 11th, you can come and take a peek at how the Church functions behind the scenes and how you can be a part of what God is doing here at Crosswinds. VolunTOUR is for you!

Echo Cookout:

May 30th 6:00 pm – End of School Year Celebration Cookout. Location is to be determined. All parents are invited to join us. More details to follow.

The next “I LOVE LA” Outreach event will be June 2nd. Stay tuned for more details.

Sunday Evening Bible Study:

Beginning May 6th --‐ 6:00 PM at the church – this study is open to everyone and will be led by Pastor Dick. Children are welcome but childcare will not be provided.

Mens Discipleship Group:

Thursday mornings, 6:30AM. All guys of the church are welcome to come together for this time of prayer and Bible study. Contact Pastor Brent for more information.

Womens Bible Study:

Thursday evenings, 7:00 pm in Café area --‐ All women in the church are welcome to attend this focused Bible study. We are studying the book of Genesis. For more information contact Deidra Hill.
